Fastenright proudly supplied the stainless steel 316 fasteners for the City of Cape Town’s groundbreaking environmental initiative at Zandvlei. The newly launched weed harvesting boat, named ‘the Cape Shoveler,’ signals a significant step in managing the waterbody’s ecosystem. Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis christened the vessel, equipped with specialized blades for weed cutting, enhancing the environmental health of Zandvlei. This project marks the first of three vessels to be delivered by the City, with Fastenright contributing to the foundation of a cleaner, more navigable, and safer water environment for the community.
